“We are two young graphic designers, Anouk van Reijen and Vera van Duren. After finishing studies at Fontys Academy for Visual Design, Visual Communication in Tilburg, The Netherlands, together we set up the Wilhelmina Ontwerp (= design)-studio. Largely motivated we approach our orders from a more autonomous vision, strenghtened by a good concept and – as we feel it – material and form. Each order we try to approach in a unique way in order not just to give a challenge to ourselves but also hope to come to a surprising endproduct. We strive after interactive projects in which more involvement of the public will be asked. We don’t see the public as a spectator but as a user or part of it. Examples of projects we executed in the past f.i. are a colourful eatable book, a fictive apparatus that advances the communication between humans and animals and the cloth handkerchief that also serves as a route for the Textielweekend 2007.”
