Alan VosAlan VosAlan Vos

Allan Vos was born October 3rd in The Hague. He finished his studies in 2001 at the Nimeto in Utrecht, direction of Styling and Presentationtechniques, after which he followed the studies of Production Design at the Dutch Film and Television Academy. In 2002 he started a course in Textile and Fashion Design at the Royal Academy of Arts which he finished successfully in 2006.

He followed several workshops and courses at Central Saint Martins in London and ‘technical moulage’ at Gerrit Uittenboogaard (G + N). As a designer he took part in several events and competitions including the TPG-project Future Fashion Show, fashion show Global Tradition in Arnhem, The Netherlands and was nominated with the last five candidates for the Celebrity Designer of the Year Award 2005.

Via a training period at designer’s Yoshiki Hishinuma in Japan he landed in Tokyo where he cooperated with the latest collection of him. Soon Allan also got invited to take part in several artist-initiatives and projects under which the Yokohama Festival with artist Kim Sora.

During his last studies Allan came in contact with Cirque du Soleil that offered him a job at the costume department of their Alegria-show during the European tour. After that he worked at the Edgar Stuurman-studio’s, that brought him the fine details of theatrecostumes. Stage Entertainment asked him to take care of the clothing of the European tour of Hans Klok magicshow ‘Faster than light’ and he also worked at the costumes for the Las Vegas-show. Since then he worked at costumes and projects for Disney Cruiselines in Florida and Bahamas, Walt Disney Company USA, Stardust Theater, Riverdance and worked at musicals like Tarzan and Simone, Songs from the Heart by Stage Entertainment. For smaller projects like musical Merlijn by Dutch Musical Ensemble and children-performance Schoenenzaak Anders he designed the costumes.

End of 2009 Allan also showed his first fashion collection since finishing his studies in 2006.
